These lights may be visible from up to 8 kilometres 5 0 mi during the day and up to 32 kilometres 20 mi or more at night. The white lights begin to alternate with red for the next 2 000 feet and for the last 1 000 feet of the runway all centerline lights are red. The row of light units is normally installed on the left side of the runway and the glide path indications are as two red and two white 2 red when on proper glide path angle of approach. When viewed from the landing threshold the runway centerline lights are white until the last 3 000 feet of the runway.
